First Class in Construction
No other work truck offers you more ways to tailor performance to vocational needs than the Peterbilt Model 357. Available in three hood lengths and two front-axle positions, it is designed to satisfy your operating requirements for weight transfer, state and federal bridge laws and maneuverability.
The set-forward front axle 111-inch BBC features an eye-catching sloped fiberglass hood with removable aluminum fenders that can be easily replaced if damaged. The 119-inch BBC configuration is available with either a set forward or set back front-axle position. Either 119-inch variation accommodates larger block engines up to 600 horsepower, ensuring you have power to spare for the most demanding applications.
To guarantee maximum productivity, a truck should be customized to its work environment. The Model 357 is standard with a 20,000-pound front axle and 46,000-pound rear axle, but numerous axle options are available up to 23,000-pound fronts and 65,000-pound rears.
Available in 4 x 2, 4 x 4, 6 x 6 and 6 x 4 configurations, the Model 357 is also available with factory-installed liftable pusher and tag axles and a wide range of weight-saving options to help maximize payloads. Individual frame layout and drilling, combined with one-inch increment wheelbases, meet the most specific vehicle requirements. Construction ready options like Peterbilt's transit mixer and transfer dump packages - plus a variety of end-of-frame and hitch treatments - save money and time on body installation.
The Model 357 is built to meet your most severe demands - and it's built to order.
